Monday, July 5, 2010 at 6:37PM Jon and Amy are one of those couples that make my job incredibly easy, I can press the shutter at any time and I’m sure to capture an authentic moment. Even though this Iowa wedding was north of home, it had a very southern feel to it; great down home charm, amazing light and some incredible barbecue. Monday, May 31, 2010 at 3:16PM I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to photograph Elizabeth and Rich’s wedding at Alpine Gardens near Columbia, Mo. Thick forest, lights in trees, beautiful diffused light and fireworks made for great photo opportunities! Huge thanks to the talented Aubrey Callahan for assisting me and to Will Hacker for getting me a loaner camera when mine malfunctioned. This was also the first time I’ve seen scratcher tickets for guests at a wedding, very creative. Not to mention I won a few bucks. ;-)

Monday, May 3, 2010 at 10:22PM I assisted my my good friend Drew Woolery with a wedding on Saturday, the first of the season for both of us. I didn’t shoot much though; unfortunately Drew found out that I’m a pretty great light stand so I had to put my camera down for most of the wedding. In between my light stand duties I managed to grab a few good frames though. The reception location at The Terrace on Grand was one of the best I’ve seen, it has a great view that overlooks the downtown Kansas City skyline. Hopefully I’ll get to shoot more weddings there in the future.
